This video is about the shift that happened for me when I realized my expectations, given the constraints in certain parts of my practice (e.g. only having 10 minutes to draw outside, or en plein air, if we’re feeling fancy), and then adjusted what I thought was possible.
This person with the huge plein air setup and evident loads of time is decidedly NOT my life. At least not at the moment. Maybe in five years. And that’s ok.
In this video, I also go through little updates from my desktop studio (directly adjacent to my 4.5 year old’s studio, the laundry rack, and the spare bed). Life doesn’t happen separately from art-making. They’re intertwined, and that’s how it will stay. Hope you have a good week.
